Friday Faves

"admire someone's beauty without questioning your own"

Hello hello! I hope you all had an amazing Fourth of July and enjoyed some time off of work. I took some time off from blogging while I was in Wilmington, North Carolina, so I skipped my Friday Faves last week, but I’m backkk, b*tches.

Here’s my round-up of faves:

Fave At-Home Workout: Tone It Up

home_workout

So I’ve been doing Tone It Up workout videos from YouTube since I was in college. They are my favorite at-home videos to do when I need to get a quick workout in. They have a ton of free ones which is obviously great – love anything that’s free. The workouts are also perfect to do while traveling since most of them only involve using your body weight.

I posted the workout video I did this week below. I love this full-body workout because it incorporates using a mini band. I’m obsessed with mini bands because they help add resistance, great for building a booty and you can easily bring them with while traveling.

I did this workout twice (it’s only about 10 minutes) and sometimes I’ll do two or three different videos to get a 30-45 minute workout in at home.

Fave Post-It Note Quote:

I found this little gem on Pinterest and love it! I think it is such a good reminder that we can appreciate other women’s accomplishments, looks, clothes, whatever it is, without putting ourselves down. Everyone is beautiful in their own way, so quit the comparing!

Fave Self-Care Moment: Face Mask + Meditation

There is nothing I love more than putting on a facemask and doing some light meditation. One of my fave masks is the Tula Exfoliating Treatment Mask with Probiotic Technology. Here are the benefits of the ingredients (p.s. I got this from Tula’s website):

  • Bentonite clay exfoliates the skin and draws out impurities.
  • Lactic acid derived from fruit helps gently exfoliate and fight the look of dull skin.
  • Blueberry extract is rich in antioxidants and hydrates and promotes even skin tone.
  • Turmeric root is a powerful natural ingredient that helps reduce signs of inflammation.
  • Probiotics create a barrier to lock in moisture.

Amazing, right? I leave it on for about 10 minutes, which is the perfect amount of time to lay down and do a meditation. I use Headspace, which is a great app, especially for those of you who are new to meditation.

Fave Outfit of the Week: Satin Midi Skirt + Crop Top

Very much into this look for summer.  I like having a longer skirt with a crop top so it’s not too much skin, but still perfect for warm summer days.

Outfit deets: crop top is from Nasty Gal, skirt is from Vamp, Shoes are from Target and the bag is Celine. I’m putting a few similar looks below:

CROP TOPS

MIDI SATIN SKIRTS

MID BLOCK HEELS

That is all for now! Have an amazing weekend, babes!

oohh I will have to try the face mask products. I normally try to do a face mask at least once a week but it scares my 3-year-old but it feels so good!
