Paperless Postcards: Less than 24 Hours in Brighton

To be honest, this ‘less than 24 hours in Brighton’ trip was completely unplanned.  It all started when I missed my connecting flight from Gatwick (London) to America and hopped on a train alone to Brighton for a night.

Brighton is a seaside town located on the south coast of England. I didn’t know anything about it going there, but I am so happy the train lady directed me there because it was the cutest town and I fell madly in love with it.

I walked around all evening getting lost in the narrow streets of The Lanes, admiring the street art and stopping into pubs with live music. If you do go, be sure to walk along the beach and down the Bright Palace Pier. I also loved seeing the Royal Pavilion.  I wish I could recommend a good place to stay there, but I stayed in a very questionable place (like maybe a hostel, it was unclear and no other guests…but that’s a story for another time) so maybe do a little more research than I did on that one.

But anyways, if you are ever alone, stuck at Gatwick airport for several hours and need something to do before your next flight, I highly recommend buying a train ticket to Brighton (it’s about an hour) and exploring the town.
