friday faves logo

Happy Friday to all you babes out there! Hope you are all surviving + thriving during this quarantine. This week’s (sry I’m inconsistent with posting these ooops)  Friday Faves is featuring the products I use pretty much everyday and can’t live without. It’s kind of a random list, but each item will benefit you in some way so you’re welcome. xo

1. tongue scraper

EW to anyone who doesn’t have one of these.  I’ve been using one for over 3 years now and if I had to pick only one thing on this list, it would dead ass be the tongue scraper – so like you need it. So much food + bacteria sits on the back of your tongue and (ok so like I’m not a dentist but IMO) brushing just doesn’t cut it. For me, it’s also part of my Ayurvedic self-care ritual.  I like to scrape in the morning, especially before drinking water, so that I’m not swallowing any nastiness back down and then again at night. It just makes me feel better and cleaner. I have the surgical grade stainless steel one and clean the scraper every so often by putting it in boiling water.

2. aztec secret healing clay

Obsessed with this stuff and seriously works so f*cking well to clear my skin up. I mix the clay with apple cider vinegar until its thickish and usually just put it over problem areas/where I’m breaking out. I leave it on until it dries – it does tingle a little and feels like it’s tightening your skin which I loveee.  After that, I wash it off with warm water and usually apply my go-to LUA clarity calming facial oil since the clay mix can leave your face a little red afterwards. But the next morning, I feel like my face always looks so much better + clearer.

3. mini bands

I wear these all day, every day. I’ll wear it anytime I’m home cooking or cleaning and do random leg/butt moves or even when I’m out walking Penelope. It’s just a little extra resistance to help tone the booty, ya know?  I also use them when I’m working out for at-home workouts and on the stairs. Also, super easy to travel with. I usually use the rubber ones, but the thicker ones are also nice.  I’ll link them both.

4. tinkle razors

Love these little Tinkle razors for an at-home dermaplane situation. So like yeah, you’re pretty much shaving your face (promise it doesn’t grow back thicker or darker, at least not for me), but I like because it removes any peach fuzz, helps exfoliate + removes dead skin and makes your skin feel f*cking smooth, which I think makes your makeup go on smoother. I use on a clean face, pull my skin tight and do slow, small strokes in the direction of the hair. Just be sure not to use it on any broken skin or acne.

5. my bkr water bottle

I talk about this water bottle like every day, but swear I think it’s my favorite birthday gift I’ve ever been given (thanks, alex – ily). Not all water bottles are created equally, this one is literally so chic and cute, plus it is easy to clean since you can throw the entire thing (including the sleeve thingy) into the dishwasher.  Hydration makes you look + feel better and is the real key to beauty, duhh.  I bring mine with me everywhere to help me get my daily water intake since we’re all about creating healthy habits, amirite?  I have the big 1L (in spiked pout aka a millennial pink color – my favorite) and I try to fill it up 3x a day to make sure I’m drinking enough water. We also love that this is environmentally friendly and helps us do our part in reducing our use of plastic. Love an eco friendly green b*tch.
